This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Book Titles with Numbers In Them. As I was compiling my list, my goal was to see if I could find ten books with numbers 1-10 in the title, and while I did succeed in doing so (mostly), I thought it was interesting how many of each number I found in book titles. So instead, here is a list of all the titles I found for each number on my Goodreads shelves. (Note: I’m excluding anything that includes a volume number, such as manga or comics or sequels, because that’s just not fair and the list would be endless.)

Zero: I was surprised to find not one, but two books with “zero” in the title, After Zero by Christina Collins and Zero the Hero by Joan Holub.

One: The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, and One Realm Beyond by Donita K. Paul, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss, and all of DCs Earth One comics.

Two: The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien,  Two Renegade Realms and Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball both by Donita K. Paul, and God Gave Us Two by Lisa T. Bergren.

Three: Three Wishes by Lisa T. Bergren, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Sciezska, and Three Little Words by Ashley Rhodes-Courter.

Four: Four Winds by Lisa T. Bergren, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin, I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore, The First Four Years by Laura Ingalls Wilder, The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis, and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.

Five: Five Days in Skye by Carla Laureano and The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin

Six: The only one I found was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, which is surprising!

Seven: I was also surprised to only find The Seven Endless Forests by April Genevieve Tucholke, considering this book doesn’t come out until 2020.

Eight: Thank goodness Ramona turned eight in Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary. Otherwise, I’d have nothing for number eight.

Nine: Night of the Ninth Dragon by Mary Pope Osborne, 9 From the Nine Worlds by Rick Riordan, Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir, and Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. Two of these books come out this fall, almost back to back!

Ten: I’m surprised that Ten by Gretchen McNeil is the only book on my shelf with “ten” in the title. I thought there would be more.

Other numbers: 11/22/63 by Stephen King, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, The 13th Tribe by Robert Liparulo, How I Made It to Eighteen: A Mostly True Story by Tracy White, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Snow White and the 77 Dwarfs by Davide Cali, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray, and A Million Suns by Beth Revis.

Bonus—Thousand: I was shocked by how many titles include the word “thousand” in the title. There are so many: Empress of a Thousand Skies and Blood of a Thousand Stars by Rhoda Belleza, Summer of a Thousand Pies by Margaret Dilloway, A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray, A Thousand Beginnings and Endings edited by Ellen Oh,  A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston, A Thousand Perfect Notes by C. G. Drews, and Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao.

What books with numbers in the title do you recall? Any more for the numbers I’m lacking? Don’t forget to join the link-up!
