This week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is Books On My Summer 2019 TBR. I don’t always make TBR lists ahead of time because I find myself not following them as closely as I liked, but there are a few books and series I’d like to read this summer.

The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss: I read The Name of the Wind earlier this year and immediately bought copies of The Wise Man’s Fear and The Slow Regard of Silent Things. I’ve started reading through The Wise Man’s FearΒ and hope to finish it by the end of the summer. Since it’s such a big book, I want to take my time with it and actually soak up the story.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis: I subscribed to a book box centered around favorite books/series instead of new ones, which include exclusive covers and goodies. The first series they are doing is The Chronicles of Narnia, so with my new copies I plan to (finally) reread this beloved series!

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater: In addition to Narnia, I plan to reread more of The Raven Cycle in preparation for Call Down the Hawk‘s release later this year.

The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephsong: This cover more than anything drew my attention, but the synopsis sounds intriguing as well. I’m looking forward to reading it!

Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim: I don’t know much about this book other than it’s a Mulan retelling and the cover is beautiful. I can’t wait to read.

Soul of Stars by Ashley Poston: Heart of Iron wasn’t my favorite book, but I’m interested to see what happens to the characters. Fingers crossed the sequel is better.

Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen: I don’t even think I read the synopsis of this. I’m just here for that cover. It looks bloody brilliant.

Containment by Caryn Lix: Sanctuary basically kicked me in the gut and left me spinning through space with its creepy aliens and thrilling escapades. I’m excited to see where Containment takes these characters.

Books for Review: I’ve requested a few titles through NetGalley that I hope I’ll be approved to review. I usually try to read them the month before they are released so I can write an up-to-date review, but if there’s a title that intrigues me enough, I might just read it as soon as I’m approved.

TBR shelf: As always, I have a ton of books on my shelves I have yet to read. I’d like to get through a chunk of them this summer since there aren’t as many new releases I’m gung-ho about reading. Some of the books include: For Darkness Shows the Stars, The Weight of Feathers, Seeking Mansfield, and A Thousand Nights.
